Crumb Pie Crust Recipe
perfect for Key Lime Pie

  • 1 1/2 cups of finely crushed crumbs.  Crumbs that make good pie crusts are graham crackers, chocolate or vanilla wafers and other cookies, cereal.. use your imagination!

  • 1/4 cup sugar 

  • 1/2 cup melted butter 

Mix the crumbs with the sugar, then add the melted butter and mix well.  Press firmly into a pie pan.  You can set the crust by baking it for 10 minutes in a 350 degree oven, or by refrigerating for 20 minutes before filling.  If you bake the crust, let it chill in the refrigerator until cooled before filling with fillings that don't require baking, like the No Egg Key Lime Pie.
